About The Event

Join  us from January 16 to 18 for an engaging conference experience that  brings together leaders and experts to advance the mission of empowering  the North. Hosted by Ollie Williams of Cabin Radio, this event is  poised to foster collaboration, enhance educational opportunities, and  streamline communication for a stronger, more resilient North.

Day 1: Tuesday, January 16, 2024 Kicking off with an opening by notable figures (to be confirmed), the  first day includes in-depth Member Engagement Sessions focusing on risk  and asset management, disaster recovery, and enhancing local government  relations. Roxane Poulin leads a Resiliency Training, followed by  Maureen Van Overliw's session on Communications Awareness, ending the  day with a clear roadmap for tomorrow's sessions.

Day 2: Wednesday, January 17, 2024 The second day is structured to provide a perfect blend of professional  development and partnership exploration. Starting with Dr. Lisa  Belanger's insights on work-life balance, the agenda includes a legal  angle from Lawson Lundell and a primer on human rights by the NWT Human  Rights Commission. The Partner Showcase features key organizations,  ranging from tourism and recreation to mental health and community  government, culminating in an Awards Banquet to celebrate excellence.

Day 3: Thursday, January 18, 2024 The final day offers strategic updates from the MACA and insights into  access to information and privacy protection, followed by discussions on  evolving human resources strategies with Dr. Suzanne Theissen and  concluding with media strategies by conference MC Ollie Williams. The  event wraps with final remarks from the LGANT President.

Be  part of a pivotal platform that aims to strengthen the very fabric of  governance, community, and innovation in the North. We look forward to  your participation in a forward-looking dialogue that promises to  empower and inspire.
